In 1841 Catherine Bain is recorded on the census as living on William Alexander's farm in "Crumyquoy" (Cromyquoy) in the parish of Watten, Caithness. Catherine's trade was farm servant. Also resident on the farm was another farm servant, Janet Manson.[1]
