Biography
Clara Temperance Avery was born on the 4th July 1860 and christened on the 22nd of August 1860 in the parish of St. Mary-the-Virgin, Dover, Kent, England; her parents recorded as Alfred William Avery and Mary Ann Avery. [1]
UK Census Date 1861: Living with her parents in Adrian Street, St Mary, Kent, England. She was just an infant.
Clara emigrated from England to New Zealand with her parents.
She married Francis James Petherick in 1888 in New Zealand. They had three sons.
She passed away about 1949 aged 88 years old.[2]
