Biography

Edward Avery ^[1] was born on 20 March 1675/76 at Groton, or New London, New London Co., Connecticut, New England. He was the son of James Avery and Deborah Stallyon. He was baptized on 2 July 1676 at First Church, New London, New London Co., Connecticut, New England.^[2] [JRF]Note: Wheeler (1900) presents the given name of this person as Edwin.

He married Joanna Rose, daughter of Thomas Rose and Hannah Allyn, on 3 June 1698/99 at Preston, New London Co., Connecticut, New England. ^[2]

He died in March 1759 at Groton, New London Co., Connecticut, New England. He was buried at on his farm in Groton.^[2]
