She was born in Maysville to Alfred and Mabel Netherton Austin. She taught school in Centerton and Southwest City, Mo., in the early 1930s. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the United Methodist Church in Gravette where she was a teacher in the adult women’s Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. McAllister.

Survivors include one son, one daughter, one sister, one brother, and five grandchildren.

She was 91 when she passed away at Plano, Texas. ^[1]
