"Dorance Austin died in Belmont, Allegheny Co., New York at the age of 89. He had suffered from organic heart disease for the last five years of his life and was attended by a Dr. Lewis the last few days before his death. His death certificate indicates that he had resided in Belmont for the last six months only. Dorance and Samantha are buried side by side in the Hauber Cemetery near Rexville along with their two sons, George W., and William Sherman
