Samuel was born in 1703, the son of Samuel Austin and Sarah LNU. He was a cordwainer. A cordwainer (or cordovan) is somebody who makes shoes and other articles from fine soft leather. He married at age 20 to Mary Bayley and passed away in 1792 at 89 years old.
