Biography

This profile is part of the Watten, Caithness One Place Study.

John McIntosh married Margaret Ettles on 22 October 1809 in Inverness, Scotland.[1]

Margaret Attles was named as the mother of John McIntosh who was born on 26 August 1818 and baptised in Watten, Caithness, on 1 October 1818.[2]

Margaret was also named as the mother of John McIntosh who was born and baptised in Watten, Caithness, in 1816. The fact that two separate baptisms were recorded indicates that the first child of this name died in infancy.
