William Blackburn Astin, 80, died Sunday in a Salt Lake rest home after a lingering illness. Born March 15, 1877 at Monangahela City, Pa., to Joseph and Martha Glackin Astin. Married Kate Elizabeth Swift May 27, 1903, Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mountain View Ward high priest, served in Idaho. Retired Utah Radio employee. Survivors; widow, four sons, Delbert R., Glen Wesley N., Thiensville, Wis.; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, James N., David, Salt Lake City, sister, Mrs. James (Mary) Nelson, Murray. Burial Elysian Burial Gardens.
