Sedly Seamus Aspin was born in 1838 in City of London, England, United Kingdom. He passed away in 1916 in Auburn, Bay, Michigan, United States.

"It is said by descendants that Sedly ran away from home at 15 years of age and apparently went to Canada or at least that is where his first wife Julia is from. They were married on 10 Dec. 1861 and I assume in Canada for their first child, Caroline Louise, was born in Madoc, Ontario, Canada. After Julia died, Sedly returned to Canada and married Julia's sister, Mary Ann's, child, Emma Louise Barr. Sedly's parents were members of S. Mary Magdaline Church and St. Olave Church in Bermondsay/Southwark, London, England." This quoted section from a printed genealogical volume done by Bill Aspin, called Descendants of William Aspin.
