Richard Armstrong (1811-1862) was born around 1811 in Lancashire. He was a shoemaker in Liverpool.

In 1841 he and his wife Mary were living on Leeds Street, Liverpool with 2 children including Ellen. ^[1]

In 1862 he and his wife were resident on Great Richmond Street, Liverpool. On the 26th July 1862 he was severely injured on Fox Street, Liverpool after being run over by a milk cart and despite being treated at the Royal Infirmary, he died a week later on the 2nd August. ^{[2] [3]}

Following a coroner's inquest on the 4th August, which found the death to be accidental, he was buried on the 8th August 1862 in Walton Park Cemetery, Liverpool. ^{[4] [5]}
