Biography

Edith Arliss was born in Yorkshire, England.

Edith, child of Richard Arliss & Elizabeth Smith, was baptised on 8 March 1870 in All Saints, Wakefield, Yorkshire^[1] and her birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1870 in the Ecclesall Bierlow district.^[2]

Edith (36) married George Arliss (50) on 25 December 1906 in Fir Vale, Yorkshire; their fathers were Richard Arliss and George Arliss.^[3] Edith's marriage to George Arliss was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1906 in the Sheffield district.^[4][5]

The couple lived in Cleethorpes where George was a labourer in the fish industry.^[6]

Edith's death (age 58) was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1927 in the Sheffield district.^[7]
