John Aplin, son of William (Farmer, of Sticklepath) & Elizabeth, was baptised on 13 January 1815 in Combe St Nicholas, Somerset, England.

John died in 1833, just 19 years old, and was buried on 16 November 1833 in St Nicholas Church, Combe St Nicholas, Somerset, England. His gravestone (Chest Tomb, West panel) reads:

and grand-daughter of the said

Wm. and Elizth. Aplin

who died Septr. 16th. 1819

aged 3 months

aged 19 years.
