Marriage
MARRIED JUST THE SAME
Louis Wold and Miss Wallace Simply Crossed the N. Dak. Line.
Special to The Journal. Fergus Falls, Minn., Jan. 16. --A short time ago the clerk of court here refused to issue a marriage license to Louis Wold and Miss Agnes Wallace on the ground that the young woman was not of age and her father was spending the winter in Scotland and had not given his consent. The young couple have since been considering the matter, and early in the week they quietly left for Wahpeton. Under the benign laws of North Dakota they were soon made man and wife, and have returned happy and begun housekeeping on the bridegroom's farm in the town of Girard.[6]
