Andrick is a derived name. The family is from Neiderbipp/Oberbipp Switzerland where the name began as An Der Egg, shortened to Anderegg/Andregg. Great-Grandfather moved to Ohio, USA, and when the family was naturalized their name was written as it sounded -Andrick. Another story said the name was changed because there were a number of Anderegg names in the same location and mail was misdirected so my Great-Grandfather changed it to Andrick. My Grandfather John Wesley Andrick moved to Hope Michigan where he was a farmer and owned a lumber mill.
