3 March 1898 Enlists at Hounslow in the Northamptonshire Regiment.

16 May 1898 Transferred to 2 Bn Northamptonshire Regiment.

27 December 1898 Transferred to 1 Bn Northamptonshire Regiment.

27 December 1898 to 12 March 1902 Posted to Fyzabad India.

31 May 1902 discharged from Army on medical grounds.

Awarded one Good Conduct Badge.

17 November 1914 re-enlists at Marylebone in 2 Bn Northamptonshire Regiment.

Posted to France 28 December 1914.

Killed at Battle of Neuve Chapelle 14 March 1915, no known grave. Memorial at Le Touret, France.

Awarded 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal.
