She married John Leo Power in 1915 [1]

WEDDING AT WAITARA. One of the prettiest weddings seen in Waitara for some time past was solemnised on Tuesday, February 16th, when Miss Ivy Andrews, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Andrews, of Brixton, was married to Mr J. L. Power, only son of the late J. Power, Esq., of County Cork, Ireland, the officiating minister being the Very Rev. Dean McKenna. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very dainty in white satin, with a tunic of Flemish lace. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white flowers. Her bridesmaid, Miss Florence O’Brien, was attired in a violet crepe de chine costume, with hat en suite. She earned a bouquet of pink and mauve sweet peas and maidenhair. Mr V. Thompson, of Eltham, carried out the duties of best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, Brixton. Mrs J. Andrews received the guests in black silk, with toque of black tagel straw relieved with mauve. Mrs Thompson (mother of the bridegroom) wore a costume of grey oerded silk, with hat to match. Mrs Brewer (sister of the bridegroom) was dressed in a white serge costume, with hat of black velvet. Miss Andrews was attired in black eolienne, with a pretty black Dolly Varden hat wreathed in tiny yellow daises. Later in the day Mr and Mrs Power left for Wellington, where the honeymoon is to be spent, the bride’s travelling dress being a costume of saxc-bluo crepe de chine.’Her hat was of black velvet with a largo white velvet flower. • John Andrews Power

She passed away on 14 January1972 in Huirangi, Taranaki, NewZealand and was buried in the Huirangi Cemetery. [3]
