Mary Anne Anders

In 1900, 63 year old widow Mary Thieman lived with her son farmer Andrew Tieman (29), Andrew's wife (30), in Watertown, Washington County, Ohio. Also living with them was her single son Joseph (25). Mary was born in Germany and had immigrated to the United States in 1843. She had been in the U.S. for 56 years. Eight of Mary's 9 children were still living in 1900.

In 1910, widow Mary A. Thieman (73) lived with her son Andrew and his family in Watertown, Washington County, Ohio. Mary can both read and write and speaks English. Mary was born in Germany as were her parents. Under occupation, there is a notation on the census form that Mary has her "Own Income." In 1910 7 of Mary's 9 children are alive.
