Fisherman Edward Anderson was born about 1855-56[1][2] in Petites, Newfoundland.[3] He was a resident of Shoal Brook when he married Abigail (Perry) Anderson (1863-1931) in Woody Point on Dec. 4, 1881.[1] From 1913, he was the owner of the schooner Lily M Anderson (named for his daughter) in Bonne Bay.[4] Edward died in Shoal Brook on Jan. 28, 1916,[3] and is buried in Shoal Brook United Cemetery.[2]

Roy M Osmond - Familys of the South Arm of Bonne Bay 1800's-1930's listed the Lily M Anderson as owned by Edward Anderson. Added a description of the schooner as: 1 deck schooner, 2 masts 54 ft. long, 16 ft. wide, 7 ft. deep, gross tonnage 26, net tonnage 24 and registered tonnage 26.
