Biography

Mildred (Alexander) Beiderwell is the descendant of a Huguenot emigrant.

Mildred was a Painter of Pottery.

Mildred enjoyed Needlework.

Mildred Alexander was born in Gage, Oklahoma on 12 August 1911. She was the daughter of William Alexander and Clara Hill. Mildred was born with a club foot, and the local doctor put a brace on her left leg, and she cried about it, so her father threw it away. She always walked with a slight limp, but she never let that hold her back in accomplishing things. She was an an amazing seamstress and made beautiful drapes. Mildred was also a wonderful cook, like her sister Eunice, a dinner at her home was a real feast.

Mildred married Glen Beiderwell and they had one child, their daughter Anne. Anne had one son Matt, so they had one grandchild. Mildred and Glen lived in Oklahoma City, but they loved to spend time in Colorado. Each summer Glen would work on a home that they were building in Woodland Park. Mildred, Anne and Matt would spend a great deal of their summers in Woodland Park. With each summer they added additions to the home, and by the time Glen retired they had a gorgeous home in Colorado. It must have been around 1975 that they sold their home in Oklahoma City and moved permanently to Woodland Park, Colorado. They enjoyed their time there. Mildred had a great sense of humor and always had a smile and a funny joke to tell. She was a pleasure to spend time with and everyone who knew her loved her. Mildred lived to the age of 86, and she passed away in 1997 in Woodland Park, Colorado.

Mildred was born in 1911. She was the daughter of William Alexander and Clarissa Hill. She passed away in 1997.
