Biography
William Addie was named as the father of Elizabeth Addie on her 1849 birth record.
In 1851 William and his family were living in Bower, Caithness. He was the school master in Bower and gave his place of birth as Garioch, Aberdeenshire, on the 1851 census return. The family were living in the school master's house. The family also had a general servant, Janet Bakie, living with them at this time.
