Patea, Hawera,Manaia papers please copy" *Wanganui Herald 19th July 1913. Page 4 Personal. "One of Wanganui's best known citizens, especially among the generation that is fast passing away, died at his residence in Hill street yesterday, in the person of Mr.Jack Adamson. The late Mr. Adamson who was born here 57 years ago had lived on this coast all his life and took part in early trouble with the Maoris. He took great interest in rugby football and at various times represented both Wanganui and Taranaki in interprovincial matches. He leaves a widow and a grown up family to mourn his loss, in addition to several brothers and sisters who reside here and at Hawera. Funeral takes place tomorrow".
