How are you? I'm David a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.
The Sources Style Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography.
Here is what our Sources help page says. It has lots of ideas: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

FamilySeach.org is a free genealogy website that you can find sources with citations at by just registering.
Find A Grave.com also is free for registering and to find secondary sources with a source citation.
We also have a Help Index with topics you may have questions on.
And I'm here to help too, just ask!

I hope you're enjoying learning about WikiTree!
Unlike a lot of websites, when you receive messages on WikiTree, you're actually hearing from a real person. :-)
Please leave messages from the Greeters Project on your profile for at least a month, so that other Greeters know that you've been properly welcomed. Let me know if you have questions.
See you in the branches!
Wendy ~ WikiTree Greeter
