Biography
Sophia (Adams) Lorimer was born in England.
Sophia was born on the 9th Dec 1833 and baptised on the 15th of March 1835 at Saffron Walden. She was the daughter of Edward Adams and Susannah Harris. [1]
Sophia arrived in Australia on the ship Sea Park on the 20th of March 1858 [2][3] and went to her brother George in Provost St North Melbourne.
She passed away on the 17th of January 1914. [4] [5]

Hi Kerryn. Thanks for the replies.
I am trying to find out about John Nankervis who seems to have had a de-facto relationship with a Sophia Adams (according to a Murphy Family Tree on Ancestry.com) and had sons Thomas Adams Nankervis and William George Henry Nankervis in South Australia before John died in 1864. Sophia went on to marry William Ferrell and Henry Joy.
I think there might be two Sophia Adams that have been mixed in Adams-46891. I will see if I can separate the South Australian and Victorian Sophia Adams and include an Explanatory Note if I do that.

Wow that is interesting Barry. I think you could be right in that the two Sophia Adams are different but nothing ever surprises me any more in family history research. I look forward to your findings.
HI again Barry, I just had a look in ancestry and there is a John Nankervis with a Sophia Adams in 158 trees!
Adams-46891 and Adams-17075 appear to represent the same person because: They have the same name, same Birth County, same Marriage and Death details.
Hi Barry, Sophia Adams was the sister of my great-great-grandfather George Adams-17071
She arrived in Australia on the 20th March 1858 on the Ship Sea Park going to her brother's house in Provost St North Melbourne where my great-grandfather John Adams-17072 was born. I am unsure about the procedure of merging and then changing incorrect information. I've asked the question of WikiTree help G2G forum
Adams-46891 and Adams-17075 are not ready to be merged because: There are quite a few differences that need to be sorted first
Adams-46891 and Adams-17075 do not represent the same person because: Different birth and death details. Different husbands
