William was born in 1840 in Limerick city, the son of William Abraham of Mount Prospect, Roxborough, Limerick, plant nurseryman, and his wife Eliza. [1]
"In October 1881 Abraham was arrested at the Land League rooms in Limerick; his removal from the police station to Limerick county prison under heavy police and army escort led to a riot in which shots were fired and a woman onlooker severely injured. "
His trade was originally a nurseryman, however, he worked his way up to become MP for West Limerick from 1885.[2] He later served as MP for North-East Cork and Dublin Harbour.
In 1890 Abraham was said to be living at 44 Ambler Road in Finsbury Park, London.
In 1911 William was living in Islington with his daughter Rose and son Louis.[3]
William Abraham died 2 August 1915 at his home, 26 Ashmount Road, Hornsey Lane, London, of heart failure following a bout of influenza, and was buried in the nonconformist section of Finchley cemetery.
