Where and when did Imogene Caperton death occur?

She could have died in Paris, Texas or Jackson, Arkansas.  She was born in 1852.  For some reason her maiden name is showing as Cooper.  Her maiden name was Crosser.  On her marriage certificate, the double s looks like a p.  Her father was Leonard Crosser and she was born in Stoddard county, Missouri.  I may have merged something with someone elses info and the Cooper name was not noticed by me.  Hopefully I can fix it someday.

I haven't found a death date. Although I agree fundamentally that you have to take Census records with a grain of salt and are only as good as the person taking the census record or the person transcribing it in the 1860 census it shows her born in Tennessee. However that is not enough information to say that the listed is her parents or that it is the correct person. But I hope this can help you at-least as a breadcrumb

Have a great day

I've not looked at the census records but a number of genealogies list her maiden name as Crosser (not Cooper), so perhaps it's a good idea to check out the image of the census report here to be sure.
You are right...she was born in Weakly, Tenn.  I got that wrong!  I didn't double check before I posted that.  The few censuses I have seen often spell the names wrong for Leonards family.
    Hi Marcia,

As I said I wouldn't go just on that information alone. I would however recommend that it be used as a hypothesis until it can be debunked. Unless you have some other personal knowledge or family records to verify

My dad, George Franklin Caperton Jr. , told me his grandma's maiden name was Ima Crosser.  He and his dad were named for her brother George Franklin Crosser.  Here is the marriage certificate.  I guess you can judge for yourself.  There is no further proof I can offer.  I can see Cooper and I can see Crosser in the handwriting...some say her name is Orvi not Ima from the handwriting. I can see Imi. You can see how the writer makes a p in the line below "and" in the word "parties".  It isn't the same.   This isn't an original certificate as records back then were burned at the court house.  It was transcribed from something, I don't know what.  image

well I guess I can't add the picture of the document.  I can email it to you maybe.
