I appear to be a direct descendent of both Robert Bruce (19 degress) and Edward 1 (20 degress). The former is via the Cameron Clan and the latter by the Campbell Clan. a Cameron and a Campbell came together in marriage circa 1707 uniting the two streams as my 5x great grandparents. I also know from earlier checks I have about 4 or five direct ancestors names on the Magna Carta and a larger number of cousins. We are all connected!!

I'm very clumsy with wikitree, but you can't have more fun than this.  My degrees are between 22 and 24, but I am direct from every last one of the bonny brave except Leslie, and that's a cousin.  Heading to Scotland in 11 days, and very conflicted about being both the Hammer and the Bruce.  And no surprise here--all the descendants that we can find immigrated to either Virginia or South Carolina.

BOTH Robert the Bruce and King Edward Longshanks of England are 20th Great grandfathers.... making them equally close, both through my mother.

Methven, 24 deg, 1st cousin, James Douglas, 19 deg, 19th great-grandfather, Alexander Fraser, 22 deg, 20th great-grandfather, Edward Keith Marischal - 21 deg, 20th great-grandfather, Andrew Leslie VI - 21 deg, 21st great-grandfather, David, Lord of Crawford & Byres - 21 deg, 19th great-grandfather, Joan Menteith, Countess of Strathearn - 21 deg, 19th great-grandmother, Agnes Randolph, Countess of Dunbar, 21 deg, 18th great-grand-neice, William, 3rd Earl of Ross, 23 deg, 21st great-grandfather, Henry Sinclair II of Roslin, 22 deg., 20th great-grand-father.

As one can see from my connections...I am (rather)  connected to the listed people in the Declaration of Arbroath, being mostly directly descended.
