Trying to link my father - get error that I am not trusted

Question

Hello, I contributed before, but it has been awhile. I noticed that my father is listed as "unknown" so I tried to link my dad to my tree and I got the error that I am not a trusted member. It let me upload a picture of my mother, however. What should I do to become a trusted contributor for Griffin - 18618?

I see you have just joined as a new member.  Since you were a member before, there should already be a profile here for you.  If you write to info @ wikitree.com (without the spaces) they can merge your new and old profiles and restore your previous account.  Welcome back!

It appears that your father is already connected to you so maybe you figured it out? Since that profile was open and does not have a profile manager, it should not have been a problem.  You can now adopt his profile and be the profile manager.

It currently has no profile manager, so you can click the link for 'Adopt this profile'.

I did find that I had not done the honor code and after I did that, it let me edit. Thank you!
