In the bio for Kay-235 (Robert, of SC) it states: "Robert and his son James bought and sold land in Virginia until 1794". Does anyone have evidence to support this statement? I need source citations to check.

The land in the source you provide is in SC. I’m looking for sources for the land he supposedly owned/sold in VA.

You might try looking at  land records between Occoquan River and Bull Run in 1747 in Virginia, that is claimed to be the first written land record for Robert Kay.

good luck in your search
