Biography

When Lavina Newcomb was born on March 15, 1759, in Lebanon, Connecticut, her father, Jacob, was 34, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 32.^[1] She married Joel Chamberlain (1752-1817) on January 20, 1780, in Columbia, Connecticut. They had eight children:
