Arnold was born in 1888. He was the son of Thomas Judd and Flora Stewart. He passed away in 1954. Arnold managed the Hakaru Dairy Factory for a few years before moving to other dairy factories around the country. After his marriage the couple moved to Akaroa where he again managed the dairy factory there. In 1941 the family moved to Mt. Eden in Auckland, where he opened a home cookery business. After two years he sold out and returned to Kaiwaka where he farmed until his retirement. He is buried at Purewa cemetery Auckland.
