Biography

Sarah was born in Wellington on 4 February 1847 the 2nd Daughter 4th child of Robert Wyeth and Jane Runnalls. She was baptised at St Paul's Wellington on 13 February 1847.

Sarah was married on 23 November 1866 to Walter Harris son of Abraham and Sophia Harris. The wedding took palce at the home of Abraham and Sophia Harris in Taita. .^[1] The Harris family were brought up in Kiriwhakapapa Road, Mt Bruce, Masterton, just behind Mt Bruce School.[Source helen Tankersley]

On the 1st of January 1896 tragedy hit the Harris family the two boys Walter and Ruben fell into the creek and drowned. Walter was 8 and Ruben 6.

In July 1907 Mary Maria, Sarah and Walter's 5th child and wife of William Baylis died aged 34.

In June 1910 Annie wife of Tom Stumbles died aged 42. Annie baptised Sophia Jane Annie was the fourth of Sarah and Walter's children to pre-decease them.

Walter died 8 November 1915 aged 78 ink Masterton. . Sarah was at that time living in Oxford Street Masterton in 1929 her Grandson Walter’s wife, (son of Arthur) visited her and described her as “a small woman in a very large 4 poster bed who was very pleasant{source Ian Harris]. Sarah died on 15 July 1930 aged 83 years.[2] Sarah and Walter are both buried in cemetery, Masterton in the same plot as the 4 of their children who pre-deceased them.

Sarah was born in 1847. She passed away in 1930. ^[2]
