John and Charity were married at Saters Primitive Baptist Church northeast of Winchester, Maryland by "Rev. Henry Lovall of the Regular Baptist Church", according to her testimony in support of her qualification for her husband's pension. (A Nathaniel West lived on acreage he purchased in 1742 called "West lot" near the church site. A Thomas West was a member of the church and a trustee. When the church was organized in 1742, a John Parker was one of the 57 members.)
Parker genealogist Jessie Parker believes that two more daughters were born between Richard and Mary Ann. He also believes that William, John Jr., Andrew and David all died during the the Yellow Fever and influenza epidemics of 1847-1850.
Upon her death, her Revolutionary War veteran's widow's pension of per year was paid to Mary Walton and Richard Parker, "only children".
