James Watson is an American geneticist, molecular biologist, and zoologist. He is best known for being a co-discoverer of the structure of DNA. He, Francis Crick, and Maurice Wilkins were jointly awarded the 1962 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for this discovery.
