John was born on 17 April 1767 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England.

John was one of the first settlers in what became Sullivan county, near the site that became Millview.^[1]

John died at the age of 46 on 17 April 1813 in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania. Cause of death was Millview Cemetery, Dushore, Sullivan, Pennsylvania, USA.^[2]
