Biography

Francis Marion Warren was born on October 8, 1870[1] [2] in Benton, Arkansas. He was the son of William Bonaparte Warrnen and Catherine Marie (Martin) Warren.
He married Magnolia Palestine “Nolia” Carden on March 18, 1894, in Pea Ridge, Benton Arkansas.[3][4] They had six children.

  2. Nellie Mae Warren Head (1897-1974)[5][6]
  3. William Hugh Warren (1900-1938)[5][6]
  4. Francis Paul Warren (1903-1965)[6]
  5. Silas Carl Warren (1906-2001)[6]
  6. Donald Carden Warren (1912-1998)[7]
Francis was a Farmer. He and Magnollia made their first home on a farm in Sugar Creek Twp, Benton co., Arkansas. Their first child, Lockey Estella was born in Arkansas. They moved form their Arkansas farm across the state line into Missour, settling in White Rock, McDonald Co., Missouri In abt. 1896. They were living in White Rock Twp, in 1900, with their first 3 children, Estella-5, Nellie-3 and William-under a year, in the home.[5] They were on their farm in Mountain, McDonald co., Missouri in 1910, with Lockey-15, Nellie M-12, William H-9, Fancis P-6, and Silas-3. [6] By 1920 Donald had been born and was in the home with siblings, Nellie-21, Hugh-19, Paul-16, Silus-13, and Donald age 7.[7]
At age 55, he made application for enrollment with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians of North Carolina, stating that he was 1/8 th cherokee Indian, claming descent from Susan Martin, nee Wolfe, who was his maternal grandmother.[8]
He died on November 11, 1935, in Jane, McDonald, Missouri, at the age of 65, and was buried in the Twelve Corners Cemetery. in Pea Ridge, Benton co., Arkansas [1]

A Francis M Warren and Nellie M Warren are listed on the Cherokee Baker Rolls. The ages and location match up (if the roll was taken in 1925). Francis is also listed as the father to Nellie in these records. I'm not related to these folks, just something I found through my own family research.
