Biography

Alfred Ernest was born on 21st June, 1879 at Cooyal, outside Mudgee, NSW, Australia. Alfred enlisted in the Australian army in 1916, serving in France and Belgium during WW1. After the war ended he remained in the UK, where he met Annie Mckay Watson. She and Alfred Ernest Wait married 29 July, 1919 in South Leith, Midlothian, Scotland. They moved to Australia, where they had 3 children. Annie died in 1930 in Stanthorpe, Qld.

On 3rd January 1931 Alfred married Edith May Woolford, with whom he had two children. Edith died in Queensland, Australia on the 5th October 1948 from cancer. On 22nd January, 1957 he married divorcee Isabella Greasley (nee McDougall) He passed away on 21 June, 1967, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, at the age of 88.
