Mrs. Levina Anderson, grandmother of our fellow townsman, Josuha Anderson, sister of Rev. C. B. Wade, and mother of Dan Daney, died last Sunday morning at 7 o'clock, at the residence of the latter, at the ripe old age of 80 years, death being due to old age, coupled with a complication of ailments from which she had suffered for some time passed.
Mrs. Anderson, by her loveable traits of character and kind loving disposition, enjoyed the friendship of all who knew her. She was a consistent member of the Wadeville Presbyterian Church, her whole life being spent in the cause of christianity(sic) and in leading others to the Master whom she served so loyally in life.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Samuel Bohanon Monday afternoon, after which her remains were laid to rest in the Wadeville Cemetery.
To the sorrowing relatives of this deceased aged and beloved woman The Tribune extends condolence.
Research Note
Research is needed to confirm the father of Lucinda, it may actually be Solomon Daney as it is not clear which spouse of Levina Wade was her father. If Daney is her father, this would likely make Lucinda the spouse of Houston Dee Anderson and mother of Joshua Anderson mentioned in the obituary above.
