Norm has now been designated as coordinator of the WikiTree "Tyler Name Study," found at: www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Tyler_Name_Study. This is a resource to share information on anything related to the Tyler surname from any line of Tylers, U.S., British, or other. Please feel free to use this resource.
Norm has written an extensive narrative history of the family of immigrant Job Tyler that extends over many generations. Titled 15 Generations of American Stories: Notable Descendants of Immigrant Job Tyler, it includes 190 pages of Tyler family history, the origin of the Tyler name, a description of the original Tyler Homestead in West Boxford, Massachusetts, notable Tylers, interesting family stories, and descriptions of national reunions over the years.
He also has authored books on city planning, historic preservation, Greek Revival architecture, and the Peace Corps. Norm has served on the board of numerous community and professional organizations, and has long been a community activist who ardently cares about making a difference.
He lives with his spouse, Ilene, in a historic house in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and they love traveling the world together. When home, he enjoys playing piano, working on his model railroad and, of course, writing. When asked which of his books is his favorite, he replies, "My next one!"
