Biography

George Trotter III was born in Jun 1607 in Byers Green, Durham, England to parents George Trotter II and Mary March. He married Gertrude Wren on 21 Apr 1629 in Durham, England. Children: William, James. There is no evidence that this man immigrated to America in 1652 and settled in Newbury, Massachusetts.

I can find no reference to a George Trotter in Newbury, or anywhere in Massachusetts. The referenced sources: Farmer and US and Canada Passenger and Immigration Lists Index do not show a George Trotter. There was a William Trotter who was in Newbury (probably the attached son).

Not sure if this is a real person, or the actual father of William Trotter, but I don't think that he came to New England.
