Hi Richard, I see you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.

Hello Richard,

How are you? My name is Sally Stovall, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.

Helpful guide here: Bartlett and here. We also have a Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

I think I will use this forum to build my family tree, for additional input. My father adopted the name of Thornton but his birth name is Elmer Wise. My mother's side has been traced to 1627, Zachary Wade, born in Warwickshire, England.

I have read the nine simple rules.

I have looked using "Wade" and there is one profile to be adopted, think I will begin there. The profile is Zachary Wade.

I have also traced my wife's family Hinrich Dirks, who died on March 6, 1758.
