Biography

Chesley was born in Alexandria, Indiana, on 8 September 1903.^[1] He was the son of William Thomas and Olive Heritage. A graduate of Indiana University,^[2] Chesley ran an insurance agency and was chairman of the board of the Alexandria Banking Co.^[3] He was also active in civic affairs. On 17 June 1926 Chesley married Doris Marie Pritchard in Franklin, Indiana.^[4] They had a son, whom they named Thomas Thomas Thomas.^[5] Chesley died on 28 September 1975 and is buried in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria.^[1][6]
