As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.
Has the New Member How-To been helpful or left you with any questions?
I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.
Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
I see that the bio states that "He was the son of Albrecht Thomas , born circa1658 in Neuenburg, Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany and Barbara Schoen born circa 1660 in Neuenburg, Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany"
You say that "Michael is actually Michael Jr. the son of Michael Sr and Catherine Wayland." I am not the profile manager for Michael, but I would suggest that you contact one of the three profile managers for him, or just start a G2G message to ask for help.
Go to the profile and look for the block on the right hand side that says, "Public Q&A" and click on "Ask Question."
I am delighted to congratulate you on becoming a full member of the WikiTree community!
Starting with the How-To pages will save you lots of time and energy as you learn to navigate and collaborate on our shared tree.
If the email links don't work correctly, they should work from the comment section on your profile page.
If you have any questions, please ask as I am always happy to help!

As Ginny said, you cannot upload a GedCom file with more than 5000 people. I strongly suggest you start with a small file, about 50 people. Of course, they will not be added to WikiTree until you are confirmed as a member.
Marilyn, please break down your GedCom into small groups of ancestors. You cannot upload more than 5000 in a GedCom but even that is very large to get through the GedCompare process. I suggest maybe your direct ancestors of about four or five generations and then go from there.
I am here to help as well as Shirley who greeted you.

I noticed you've made a number of new profiles and capitalizing the last name. Here's a link to the help page: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Name_Fields
"Capitalization Use capitalization as appropriate. For example, McClellan instead of Mcclellan. It is never appropriate to use ALL CAPS."
I hope this helps!
