Biography

Danny Ross Taylor was born on June 3, 1947 in Chickasha Oklahoma. He was the son of William M. Taylor and Cleo Patra Zwingle. Danny married Cora Sue Capps on July 07, 1965 in Lindsey Oklahoma. He passed away on Feb 27, 2014 in McClain County Oklahoma and was laid to rest in Bradley Cemetery in Bradley Oklahoma.^[1]

Danny Ross Taylor, age 66, of Lindsay, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at his home. He was born on June 3, 1947 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to William D. Taylor and Cleo Taylor.

Danny attended See Chapel School and Bradley School. He graduated in 1965 along with the girl who would soon become his wife. He married Cora Sue Capps on July 7, 1965 at the Church of Christ in Lindsay. Danny and Sue were married for 48 years. Danny worked in the oilfield for many years, working for Hamm and Phillips for the last 21 years. He was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. In his younger years, Danny enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling with his family and golfing. He loved good conversation and good friends. Most of all, Danny loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Danny will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Cora Sue Taylor of the home, two sons: Glenn Taylor and wife Robin of San Antonio, Texas and Bryan Taylor and wife Julie of Bethany, Oklahoma, one sister, Betty English and three brothers: Boice Taylor, Ron Taylor and Wes Taylor. He also leaves behind three grandchildren: Sierra Taylor, Justin Taylor and Jordan Taylor.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cleo Taylor, five brothers: Loyd Taylor, Buford Taylor, J. B. Taylor, Harold Taylor and Gerold Taylor and three sisters: Fern Larabee, Wilma Painter and Ruth Clift.

Funeral services for Mr. Taylor are set for two o'clock p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Church of Christ, located at highway 19 West in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Brant Stubblefield officiating and Brandon Johnson assisting. Interment will follow at Bradley Cemetery in Bradley, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
