Biography

William Henry Symons was born on 6 March 1862 in Tavistock, Devon, England the son of Thomas Symons (abt.1826-bef.1910) and Elizabeth Ann (Warren) Symons (1831-bef.1903)^[1][2].

William married Jane Ann (Handy) Symons (1865 - 1950) before 30 September 1883 in Lanchester, Durham^[3].

In the 1939 England Register William is said to be a Retired Colliery Hewer and resides at 4 Osborne Terrace, Stanley^[2].

William died on 26 April 1951 in Stanley, Durham aged 89 years^[4] and was buried on 30 April 1951 in Stanley New Cemetery^[5].
