SMITH, Bertha Smith The Pulaski Citizen 15 Oct 1975

Mrs. Bertha S. Smith, age 84, died Tuesday, October 14, 1975, at Madison Hospital in Madison, Tennessee. Mrs. Smith, a Giles County native, formerly of Stella was the daughter of the late Richard Riley and Sallie Barnes Smith. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18 at Bennett-May Chapel with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Stella. Her survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Jack Hutton, Athens, Mrs. Buford James, Mrs. Guy Mitchell, Pulaski, Mrs. Dorman Fuller, Nashville, Mrs. Lucille Haller, Elenhurst, Ill., and Mrs. Esther Holley of Madison; five sons, Woodson Smith, Texas, Charles Smith, Calif., Carl Smith, Huntsville, Ala., Roe Smith, Silver Springs, Md. and Larry Dean Smith of Pulaski. One brother, Barnes Smith, Norman, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cosby and Mrs. Boyd Howard of Stella; 44 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. ^[1]
