Hi Julie,

Thanks for all of your work on WikiTree. Unfortunately, it looks like you have had some issues with creating duplicates, but, no problem....I think I have found most of them and you can start approving them. Also, please make sure you are adding sources per our Help Page.... https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources IF you have questions, please ask.

Hi Julie,

As Dave posted in September, I notice you are still adding pre-1700 profiles without sources. You have also created a few duplicate profiles for which you will receiving merge requests to approve. Please be sure not to add duplicates to the tree by carefully reviewing the suggestions WikiTree gives you when you are adding a profile. S Willson WikiTree Arborist

Hi Julie,

Thanks for your contributions to our tree.

I see that you have been adding pre-1700 profiles tonight using "family recollection" as your source. This is not considered an adequate source for pre-1700 profiles. Would you please review the Pre-1700 Quiz and the explanations about the sort of sources WikiTree is looking for, as well as our Help page on Sources.

Thank you!

Dave

Hi Julie,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

It looks like the Germany Project would be a good fit with the tag comment you entered. Adding the tag Germany will help you get updates about activity for that project.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hi Julie

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

Has the How-to been helpful or left you with any questions?

I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.

Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Hi Julie,

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.

Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.

Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.

Ludwig :)

PS If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section of your profile page.
