[2] He served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War as a Private in the Alabama, Company D, 20th Infantry. [3] He registered to vote in 1867 in Smith County, Texas, USA. [4] He passed away of Colic in March 1870 in Omen (Old Canton), Smith, Texas, USA. [5][6] He was buried probably on the farm in Omen (Old Canton), Texas, USA with no marker.[7]
