Mrs. Tillie Conrad, of 514 Filbert street, South Allentown, is proudly exhibiting to her many friends some interesting relics of the Civil War. They were given to her by her father, John T. Parker, when he was mustered out in 1865. He was a member of the 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, having enlisted in 1862 at the age of thirty-two. The relics consist of minie balls, cartridges, caps and a piece of hard tack which is Just as hard as ever.
Mrs. Conrad is the widow of "Sailor Jack" Conrad, who died in 1909. He served in both the army and navy during the Civil War and at the close remained in the navy after which he was puddler boss of the Warren Mills, at Youngstown, Ohio, from where he came to this city.
