Reuben Nichols was born 26 Aug 1827 in New York, United States, died 20 March 1873 at Sycamore, DeKalb County, Illinois, USA, son of Peter Nichols (1804-1865) and Lucretia (Carpenter) Nichols (1806-1888); married 14 Feb 1855 at DeKalb County, Illinois, USA to Jane Moore Fox, born in 1828 at Sullivan County, New York, USA, died 29 Oct 1926 at Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, USA, daughter of Allen Fox (1798–1846) and Sarah Abby (Drake) Fox (1803–1890; buried at Mayfield Congregational Cemetery[1]
