Biography

Mary (Morgan) Smith is a part of US Black heritage.

Mary was born about 1847. She was the daughter of William Morgan and Nancy Warren. She passed away in 1920. According to her death certificate, at the time of her death she was 72 years, 5 months, and 10 days. This would place her date of birth as about 1 September 1847. ^[1]

Marriage

Mary's first husband was Alexander Smith. They were married in Clark County, Ohio on 29 October 1874. At the time of her second marriage, to Jesse Smith, she stated that her first husband was deceased. Mary died about five years later and was divorced at that time. ^[2]
